A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is an undergraduate professional degree of 2-year duration which prepares students for work as a teacher in schools. It is a skill based training program which imparts knowledge to students regarding all aspects of classroom teaching.
The minimum eligibility criterion for B.Ed. admission 2017 is the completion of an undergraduate degree course in any discipline.
The 2-year program is generally divided into four semesters by the institutes and structured in a way that not only involves classroom based teaching, but also practical training and internships.
Admission to B. Ed. is done through entrance exam conducted by various states and institutions. Generally, the exam is conducted in the month of May or June and forms for the same are available online at the websites of respective institutes. Admission of candidates is subject to Cut-Off released by the respective university subsequent to the B.Ed. entrance exam.

- Successful completion of graduation in any of Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) or Bachelor in Commerce (B. Com.) from a recognized university
- A minimum aggregate score of 50% in graduation
- A minimum aggregate score of 55% at post-graduate level
